On Monday, Feb 2, I did a presentation about Amphibians of Central Indiana in Rochester at the Fulton County Soil and Water Conservation District's Annual Meeting. While all the preparations went very smooth, there wound up being a technichal difficulty. I did not bring the correct cord to connect the computer to the projector. There apparently was a short in the cord, or something. The hosts tried hard to find me a cord that would work, but to no avail. While the presentation was not the one I had intended, I think it went very well. I always love speaking to the public about amphibians, but getting a chance to speak with those already dedicated to conservation. It was wondeful seeing their annual conservation award to a local farming family that has made great strides in helping conserve Fulton county's land and water. I would like to thank the Fulton County SWCD for inviting me and for a wonderful meal. While I didn't think to ask before hand, I was glad frog legs were not on the menu! It was a much better way to enjoy Ground Hog's Day than wating around to see a rodent's shadow.
