Not Bad News for Niagara Area Fowler's Toads
Mood:  loud
Topic: Articles

What a lovely spot for a picnic

Sounds to me like some undesirable beach location for beach goers will make a terrific habitat for these at-risk toads. From my experience, the Fowler's Toad won't be put off by the old washrooms or the concrete wall. For that matter, I have seen an amplexed couple that were not bothered enough to move from their 'tire rut' pond when a speeding truck nearly squashed them. Hopefully these noisy little frogs can get along with their human neighbors and all can coexist in 'toad-al' harmony!

Updating Links

I am planning to try to go through the links and update the ones that need it. If you know of any that are not working, please let me know. If you know the new web address, that would be wonderful so I can get it updated. You can either leave it in the comment section or email me at wzetterberg@gmail.com

Also if there is ever any amphibious news you think should be on here, events, conservation issues, a good frog joke, please feel free to share it with me and I'll try to get it posted.

Thanks you!

Wendell

Mood:  happy

Wow, times fun when your having flies!

Sorry I haven't posted for so long, its been a combination of health and computer/connection issues, but I have a new computer and broadband, so I'll try to post what my health will allow. I didn't realize it had been almost two years since I last posted, thanks to anyone still checking and reading. 2011 is the year of the Turtle, and while not an amphibian, it can be an amphibious reptile so Wendell's Frog Blog gives PARC a flippered salute for raising awareness about turtle conservation, and all herp conservation! 2012 will be the year of the Lizard, so mark your calendars.
