Calling Eastern gray treefrog(Hyla versicolor)
I would like to tell you about an amazing photographer of herps. Todd Pierson, of central Indiana, is only 15 years old and has already taken pictures better than most seasoned herpers. He has a gift not only for getting close enough for a good shot, but for finding THE shot. His online Field Herping Photo Album is full of wonderful pictures from around Indiana as well as some from throughout the nation. I have already seen a few of his from this season that are not yet posted on his site, they are even better than the others. If this young man continues to impove upon what he already does, it would not surprise me to see his pictures on the cover of National Geographic and similar magazines. He is also a great person, he has let me use some of his pictures for several educational presentations including my Frogwatch USA workshop in February. I can't wait to check his site to see what kind of new pictures he has displayed. Remember the name Todd Pierson, I'm sure you will see it again.
